COLD SPRING -- The Tom Decker Memorial Garden is almost finished in Cold Spring.

Crews began working on the garden this month.

When completed it will feature two flag poles and a memorial plaque. Flowers and shrubs will be added in the spring.

Cold Spring City Administrator Brigid Murphy says many area businesses donated money or supplies to help fund the project.

"So far we've received several donations, Knife River donated $2,000, which we are using to put in an additional flag pole, we have some donations from Stantec for $250, and the Artistic Stone and Concrete is donating the paver stones."

Murphy says if you would like to make a donation, stop by City Hall.

A ceremony honoring Decker will be held in the coming weeks. The city is expected to release more information on the ceremony this week.

Officer Tom Decker was shot and killed in Cold Spring in 2012, his murder remains unsolved.
