COLD SPRING - Cold Spring has extended Police Chief Chris Boucher's contract for another year.

Acting city administrator Kris Dockendorf says the council also approved a 2.5 percent cost of living increase and a 3 percent step increase in his pay.

Boucher was making $36.02 per hour and will now make $38.00 per hour.

Dockendorf conducted a performance evaluation on Boucher before the city council extended the contract. She says there were no issues with the evaluation.

Boucher was hired as chief last May. He previously served as interim chief after the retirement of Phil Jones in 2013. His contract was set to expire earlier this month.
