Cokato Man Arrested After Police Chase With Speeds Over 100 MPH
MEEKER COUNTY - A Cokato man was arrested Sunday night after leading deputies on a chase that exceeded speeds over 100 miles per hour.
The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says a deputy saw a vehicle going south on County Road 19, north of Kingston, that was making several traffic violations.
The deputy tried to stop the vehicle but the suspect continued through Kingston and then south on Highway 15. Speeds over 100 miles per hour were reached during the chase.
Deputies were able to box the vehicle in and ended the chase just north of Dassel. The driver, 24-year-old Trevor Weibel, was arrested and booked into Meeker County Jail. He is facing charges of fleeing a peace officer and driving under the influence.
The chase happened just before 8:50 p.m.
