BRAINERD (AP) - A teenager has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his father two years ago at their home in Crow Wing County.

Seventeen-year-old Karsen King entered the plea Thursday to second-degree unintentional murder. He admitted shooting his father, Stanley King, two times in a bedroom of their Riverton house on Sept. 15, 2011. The teen's mother, Christy Stubbs, says Karsen was upset because they never let him do anything.

King told Crow Wing County District Judge Kristine DeMay that he shot his father, but did not intend to kill him. County Attorney Don Ryan agreed to recommend no more than 15 years in prison when King is sentenced on Nov. 4.
