Angeline “Angie” Josephine Neil, 91, St. Cloud

Angeline “Angie” Josephine Neil, age 91, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 12:30 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Private family entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Angie was born April 14, 1925 in Sauk Rapids, MN to Joseph and Ottilia (Loidolt) Vouk. She married James L. Neil on July 25, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids, MN. Along with her husband, James, Angie owned and operated Neil Electric in St. Cloud. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Angie enjoyed spending time at their lake cabin, knitting, going to garage sales and getting a good bargain, listening to the St. John’s Boy Choir and going to the North Shore. She also loved to travel to warm places especially Hawaii. Angie had a sharp mind, loved crossword puzzles and was still actively working in the family business.

Survivors include children, Mark (Alice) Neil of St. Cloud, MN; Brian Neil of Hovland, MN; Kevin (Beth) Neil of Sartell, MN; Susan (Len) Fruth of Clearwater, MN; sisters, Shirley (Jim) Waibel of Kimball, MN; Evelyn Berscheid of Cold Spring, MN; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James on June 24, 2012, daughter, Vicki Neil on April 30, 2002 and sister, Laverne Smith.

We will miss her independent spirit.
