UPDATE: 1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized in Brainerd Double Shooting

BRAINERD (AP) - Police say a man has died after a double shooting at a Brainerd apartment building that also wounded a woman.

Brainerd Police Chief Corky McQuiston says 31-year-old Joseph Kroll of Brainerd died from a gunshot wound to his head.

The chief says the woman, 31-year-old Chelsey Crawford of Brainerd, remains in stable condition at a Twin Cities hospital after surgery. She also apparently was shot in the head.

A 23-year-old man and the 26-year-old man, both of Brainerd, were arrested several hours after the Sunday evening shooting.

McQuiston says police have not determined a motive for the shooting. Both suspects remain in jail pending formal charges.
