UPDATE: State Patrol Releases Names Of 16-Year-Old Boy, Girl Killed InCrash
PARK RAPIDS (AP) - Two northern Minnesota teens have died in a head-on crash on an icy road in Hubbard County.
Sixteen-year-old Jacob Bruns of Laporte and 16-year-old Kiara Renollette of Bemidji were heading south on Highway 71 around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when Bruns lost control, veered into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming truck.
The driver of the truck, 53-year-old Shannon Jay of Park Rapids, was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
