STEARNS COUNTY - A Richmond teenager was taken to the Hospital Saturday after she was pinned under an ATV.

The incident happened at about noon near County Road 71 and Red Cedar Road in Wakefield Township, three miles south of Richmond. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded and found 15-year-old Sydney Tamble of Richmond with a broken leg.

There were three other 15 year-old-girls on the ATV: Alexis Lang from Richmond, Faith Groover Nelson from Watkins and Kathleen Hetland of Cold Spring. They told deputies they were driving in an open field when the ATV tipped on its side. Tamble was trapped under the vehicle and the three others were able to lift the ATV off of her before authorities arrived.

Tamble was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and two others were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office is investigating and were assisted at the scene by Cold Spring Police, the Lakes Area First Responders and Gold Cross Ambulance.
