Rice - Rice - This week in our "Your Town Tuesday" series we're featuring the community of Rice.

It might be summer, but the Rice Elementary School is still a busy place.  Christina Bemboom just finished her first year as the school's principal. She says the building is used year round, "we have some summer programming here in terms of child care, also summer school. So it's busy here all the time."

Bemboom says the community is very involved in what's happening at the school, "we have a very active PTA that supports our building very, very well. We've also had a lot of community support. We had an opportunity to get grants from businesses. Our kids in the fall had an opportunity to sort of adopt a business, each class went and shared what's going on in their classrooms."

The K through 5th grade school has about 320 students, plus an ECFE program. There's typically two sections for each grade level.

Next Tuesday we're going to be featuring the community of Holdingford in our "Your Town Tuesday" series.
