WILLMAR (AP) — A Willmar student is winning praise for donating an Apple iPad2 that she won to her school's special education department.

Twelve-year-old Annie Schaefbauer won top prize in the Willmar Middle School fundraiser this fall. But Annie didn't want the tablet computer for herself.

Annie wants to be a special education teacher, and she knew the special education department needed another iPad. She says she's "always liked to help people."

The seventh-grader sold 206 items to win the fundraiser.

On Tuesday, Principal Mark Miley presented Annie with her iPad2, as special education students and staff members looked on. Annie then gave the tablet to the school's speech and language clinician.

Willmar Middle School has more than 160 special education students among its nearly 900 students.
