Virginia “Ginny” K. Tobin, 73, Cold Spring

April 26, 1942 - August 26, 2015

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Ginny K. Tobin, age 73, who died on Wednesday at the Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids. Rev. Greg Lieser will officiate and interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Friends and family may call after 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Ginny was born in St. Cloud, to Clement and Virginia (Boomer) Stein. She lived in St. Cloud, Waite Park and Cold Spring. She worked at Shopko West for 33 years, where she held various positions in the accounting department, retiring in 2004. Ginny had a love of animals from her beloved pet dogs to the neighborhood cats she fed daily.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Klein) Wagner and her husband, Jeffrey Wagner, Irmo, SC, precious grandson Steven Wagner and his wife Taylor and beautiful granddaughter Alessandra (Alie) Wagner; brothers and sister, John (Vivian) Stein, Alamo, CA, George (Betty Kay) Stein, Minnetonka, MN, Thomas (Joyce) Stein, St. Cloud, and Margaret (Chuck) Lindenfelser, Albertville, MN; very special and loyal friends, Karen Swan and Manford Iverslie.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Woelfel, and her niece Mary Jane (Dorio) Petron.

Special thanks are extended to the staff members of the St. Cloud Hospital, Good Shepherd Community and CentraCare Hospice. Their caring manner made her final days of lung cancer peaceful and painless.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to a hospice program, The Tri-County Humane Society, or a pet shelter of your choice.
