UPDATE: Victim of Blomkest House Explosion Identified
WILLMAR (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found in the rubble of a house explosion in west-central Minnesota.
The Kandiyohi County sheriff's office identifies the victim as 64-year-old Daniel Ray Rustad from the Lake Lillian area.
Firefighters were called Wednesday afternoon to an explosion and fire that destroyed a house on the shores of Big Kandiyohi Lake. During a search, Rustad's body was found in the ruins.
The sheriff's office says an investigation into the cause of the explosion and fire continues.
