The Twins have come to terms with free agent relief pitcher Joel Zumaya on a 1-year contract worth $800,000 with incentives that will boost the deal to $1.7 Million.  Zumaya fractured his throwing arm in 2010 while pitching with the Tigers against the Twins and hasn't pitched in a major league game since.

He was 2-1 with a 2.58 ERA in 38 1/3 innings with 34 strikeouts in 2010.  Zumaya was clocked at 100 MPH with his fastball prior to the injury and has had his fastball clocked between 92-95 MPH recently.  Zumaya is expected to be a late inning relief option for the Twins.  He needs to pass his physical to make the deal official.
