ROSEVILLE (AP) - Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Minnesota is suddenly very rich.

The state lottery says a ticket sold in Dakota County for Wednesday night's drawing hit the jackpot of nearly $229 million.

Minnesota acting lottery director Jenny Canfield says it's the largest jackpot ever won in Minnesota.

The winner or winners have the option of taking about $123 million in cash now. That's about $84 million after taxes. If not, the jackpot is paid over 30 years.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night are 11, 18, 36, 41, 46 and the Powerball is 38.
