The Creepy and Kooky, Mysterious and Spooky Family Hits the Stage [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - The Addams Family Musical is coming to life in St. Cloud starting this weekend. GREAT Theatre has been working on the musical, which includes all of your favorite Addams Family characters like Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch, and The Thing. Director Chris Brown says the musical follows a new story for the not so normal family.

In this story Wednesday is a little grown up, and has fallen in love with a boy from a normal family as she calls it. In the show the boy’s family comes to dinner to meet the Addams Family, and of course hijinks ensue as they get to know this crazy family.

Brown says the show has come together nicely with plenty of laughter, and really great music.  You will see all of the “normal” events happening in the Addams Family home.

The Addams Family house is really cool, some trap doors, and that kooky stuff. We have Thing, which is the hand popping out of some different places to help tell the story. I think this is a really solid show. It’s definitely going to be fun to watch.

This show deals with issues that all families deal with on a daily basis. Brown says teenagers will be able to relate to Wednesday, and the struggle of growing up, and becoming her own person. On the other hand parents will see Gomez and Morticia’s side of the whole ordeal as the deal with the notion of having a married daughter.

I think what’s really cool with this show is it deals with issues that we all deal with. It’s all of these issues that we relate to on a daily basis, but with that Addams Family twist to it. You can really sit and laugh at all these things that are happening. It’s definitely a super funny show with some really, really great music, and some great things happening.

The Addams Family Musical starts tomorrow (Friday) night, and runs through February 15^th at the Paramount Theater. The show is recommended for ages 13 and up.

Tickets are $15 for a season member, $18 for students, $22 for Seniors/Educators/Military/Groups, and $28 for adults.
