He says the positive tests within the Gopher football team doesn't effect how the rest of the University of Minnesota athletic programs proceed.

The Gopher basketball team got some good news Monday when the NCAA granted immediate eligibility to transfer Both Gach from Utah. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan says Gach will likely start right away and give the Gopher more depth than they've had in recent years.

The Gopher basketball team received a commitment from Austin, Minnesota native Both Gach. Gach chose Minnesota over Creighton, Iowa State, Auburn and Maryland. The 6'6 forward/guard played his first 2 college seasons at Utah before deciding to transfer.
