ST. CLOUD -- A threat of severe weather made its way to the St. Cloud area but quickly dissipated.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of southeastern Stearns County, Meeker County and Western Wright County just after 10:30 p.m.

Rain and winds blew through parts of Stearns County extending from Roscoe, Richmond, Cold Spring, Kimball and Eden Valley, but nothing severe.

Possible wind speeds approaching 60-miles-per-hour were possible but died before it reached the St. Cloud area. The National Weather Service cancelled the warning at about midnight.

Forecasters say the storms will continue to pass through the St. Cloud area and continue to move east throughout the night.
