State Patrol Brings Back “Maroon Day”

ST. CLOUD -- The State Patrol will conduct a special enforcement wave tomorrow that will put every State Trooper, regardless of rank, out on the road.

"Maroon Day" was more common before busy schedules limited it in recent years. The State Patrol looks to use the day as a public relations vehicle while enforcing traffic laws.

Here in the St. Cloud district, troopers will also be enforcing the "move over" law on divided highways.

The "Maroon Day" enforcement will target seat belt use, speed limits and drunk drivers.
