St. Joseph Toddler Recovering After Fall from 3rd Story Window

ST. JOSEPH - A toddler is recovering after falling out of a 3rd floor window in St. Joseph. Police Chief Joel Klein says it happened at about 5:50 p.m. yesterday (Monday) in the 400 block of 1st Avenue North East.

The one-and-a-half year old boy was in his room taking a nap when he crawled to the window, slid it open, and pushed the screen out.

The parent saw the boy on the ground. When the EMS arrived the boy was crying and responsive. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with a fractured jaw. He has been moved out of intensive care.

The incident is believed to be accidental.
