ST. JOSEPH -- A 16-year-old St. Joseph girl was hurt after crashing her minivan while trying to avoid a deer this morning.

Stearns County Sheriff's officials say Kara Bohlen was traveling eastbound on County Road 75 just west of County Road 134 in St. Joseph at about 10:30 a.m. when she swerved to avoid a deer.

Bohlen's van entered the median, hit an embankment, became airborne and came to rest in the median.

Bohlen was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
