St. Joseph Planning for New Brewery [AUDIO]

ST. JOSEPH - A new brewery is being planned at the Bayou Flats development in St. Joseph.

The three floor development will also feature a New Orleans style restaurant with lofts and condos on the second and third floors.

The brewery will take up about 30 percent of the ground space and will be located next to the restaurant. Colleen Petters with Collegeville Properties says the brewery will only sell beer and will be a nice addition with local restaurants in town.

Customers will be able to bring in their own food to the brewery if they like. The second and third floors of the development will include 10 one-bedroom lofts and four two-bedroom lofts.

The Bayou Flats will be located at 24 College Avenue. Construction will start on the development after the city approves the project. The St. Joseph city council will discuss the development during its meeting on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall.
