ST. CLOUD -- Walmart is making some changes to their store hours.

The retailer known for being open 24-hours will now be closed for several hours during the night.

Walmart Spokesman Brian Nick says roughly 40 stores across the United States will stop being open 24-hours.

Nine stores in Minnesota will follow this trend, including the St. Cloud store located on 2nd Street South.

The store will be closed from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. starting August 16th.

He says the changes will help give the company a chance to restock shelves and better prepared for their customers during the peak shopping times.

Nick says the change will not affect the Walmart Supercenter store located on County Road 120.
