ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Municipal Band performed in Spalt, Germany as part of their goodwill trip overseas in Europe.

The band left for the trip on Thursday. About 25 musicians and a total of 40 people went for the tour.

Band Spokesman Paul Habstritt says the group performed a joint concert with Spalt's city band.

"Spalt's band went on at 6:00 p.m. We followed at 7:00 p.m. and we combined for a few numbers together," Habstritt says.

The next stop for the group will be in Saltzburg, Austria where the band's Dixieland Combo will play with a city brass group. The band will then make their final stops in Verona and Venice, Italy.

The St. Cloud Municipal Band is in its 127th year.
