St. Cloud Economic Development Authority to Develop Strategic Plan

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud's newly created Economic Development Authority is holding meetings this week to develop a strategic plan for its future.

EDA Director Cathy Mehelich says this is a new organization and they need a clear set of goals and initiatives.

Members of the EDA will work with a consulting firm in a two-day workshop this week to draft that blueprint.

Mehelich says they will establish a working document within three to four weeks that will focus on business retention, expansion and recruitment.

A final report will be developed by the end of December.
