ST. CLOUD -- Airline officials have released passenger numbers at St. Cloud Regional Airport for the month of May.

Airport Manager Bill Towle says there were 1,852 total passengers who utilized the daily flights between St. Cloud and Chicago's O'Hare Airport. That's a load factor of just over 39%.

Towle says they have a load factor goal of 70-75% on those flights by the end of the year. But, he says it's a positive start in the first month of service.  Towle says the passenger numbers are trending in the right direction.

The May load factor percentage for Allegiant Airlines between St. Cloud and Mesa, Arizona is at more than 85%. Towle believes more people will be flying from Arizona to St. Cloud this summer to beat the heat.
