
Six Finalists Emerge for St. Cloud EDA Director Post
ST. CLOUD -- A list of candidates to become St. Cloud's next Economic Development Director has been narrowed down to six finalists.
The St. Cloud E-D-A board chose the finalists at a meeting Wednesday night.
The finalists are Amber Miller the former Planning Manager for the city of Ramsey -- T. Abraham Lentner and Economic Development Officer for Richton Park, Illinois -- David Toyer an Economic Development Consultant for Webster City, Iowa -- James Thares a former Benton County Development Director and current Community Development Director for Big Lake -- David Simonsen Director of the Elkhorn Valley Economic Development Council in Norfolk, Nebraska and Catherine Mehelich the Economic Development Director in Elk River.
The six finalists were chosen from a list of 61 applicants.
They will meet the public and interview for the position May 6th and 7th. From there, the E-D-A board will forward the top three to Mayor Dave Kleis who will pick the new Economic Development Director.
