The St. Cloud area is receiving $1 Million in Federal dollars for their forced main wastewater project. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis spent some time in Washington D.C. this week and received word from Minnesota Senator Tina Smith that the city has received the money to help pay for the project.

Numerous homeless encampments this summer and fall made the homeless challenge in the St. Cloud area public. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis explains that this isn't just a St. Cloud issue but an issue for surrounding communities and counties.

The former District 742 media services building has been removed in preparation for new development in that location. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis indicates they have a letter of intent to sell the property, not a purchase agreement.

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis made his bi-monthly appearance on WJON for a radio town hall this week. He took calls and emails from listeners addressing many topics including road construction, park maintenance and funding, noise ordinances and more.

The St. Cloud City Council voted 6-1 to deny a 24-hour Holiday Station Store the opportunity to buy the city owned former District 742 Media Services property along Division Street/Highway 23 in the Lake George Neighborhood.

The weather kept the City of St. Cloud from using the more permanent hot mix of pothole fill until recently. St. Cloud Mayor joined me on WJON. He says the weather has warmed up enough where the city can better take care of the pothole problem with what he calls a more permanent mix which is less likely to pop out.

Pot holes have emerged all over Central Minnesota but that isn't the only concern St. Cloud residents have this winter.
