Severe Thunderstorms in MN on Last Night of Winter

UNDATED - Our strange weather continued on Monday night -- the last official night of winter -- with our first bout of severe thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service issued Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for several counties to the south and east of St. Cloud, including Wright, Sherburne and Mille Lacs counties.  The warnings were due to 60 mile and hour winds.

To the north of us, Todd county was never in a warning, but there was damage reported to a barn, and some tree were snapped off at a farm near Eagle Bend.

Here in the St. Cloud metro area we just had a good old fashioned thunderstorm with brief heavy downpours.
