ST. CLOUD - The Salvation Army is busily preparing for their annual Toy Store Distribution at the St. Cloud Armory.

The drive is set-up like a toy store, and pre-registered recipients can walk through with their Christmas lists and pick out what they want.

Salvation Army Major Lee Morrison says families need to pre-register for the Toy Store, and they have around 700 kids registered this year.

He adds, an undertaking of this magnitude wouldn't be possible with the help of a strong volunteer corps.

The Toy Store serves infants all the way through 16 years old. The first shoppers are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday morning, and each family has a designated time slot for picking out their gifts.

Morrison says they've got 15 volunteers at any given time, setting up tables and organizing the gifts. They're not in need of any volunteers for the toy store, but there are still plenty of area red kettles seeking bell ringers before Christmas day - and even more opportunities all year round.
