Saint John’s Abbey Church is 50 Years Old

COLLEGEVILLE - The church at Saint John's Abbey is 50 years old.

Two experts on the Abbey and University church will speak about its architectural and theological significance this (Wednesday) evening.  The free public event starts at 8:00 p.m. in the Quadrangle Building at St. John's University.

The Saint John's Abbey and University Church was designed by Hungarian architect Marcel Breuer.  Construction lasted from May, 1958 until August, 1961.
