Rice Officials Appoint Newest Council Member

RICE -- The Rice City Council has appointed a new member.

During Tuesday night's meeting, the council appointed Emily Walters to fill their open seat.

The seat became available after former council member Kyle Walter resigned last month as he was moving out of city limits.

Walters will serve the remaining a year-and-a-half remaining of the term.

Other residents who applied for the position included Wayne Conrad, Michelle Keller, and Morgan Powers.
