DULUTH  (AP) — All wildfires in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of northeastern Minnesota are contained, controlled or out.

But the U.S. Forest Service says Saturday campfire restrictions remain for the entire wilderness area, and some lake and trail closures still are in effect.

While cooler weather and some rain have helped fire crews in recent days, warmer, dry conditions are forecast in the next few days.

The Cummings Lake fire, about 12 miles northwest of Ely, burned about 50 acres. The Forest Service says it's 100 percent contained and mop-up efforts are under way.

The Wooden Leg fire, about 22 miles northeast of Ely, is under control. It burned only about a quarter-acre but it was close to dead wood left behind by the 1999 blowdown.
