FOLEY -- The heavy rain and strong winds didn't stop people from having a good time at Foley Fun Days tonight (Monday).

The rain cleared up just in time to begin the 5k Run where about 125 racers strapped on their running shoes for the event.

Foley native Ryan Faith was a participant in the race. He says he was prepared to run the event rain or shine.

"I was going to run it no matter what, just hoped the rain would go away by the time it started and it did for the most part," says Faith.

Faith finished third in the event and even though the wind was howling he says it didn't affect him.

"You felt it for a little bit in the first half of the course, but then the second half of the course it was at your back for the most part," says Faith.

Foley Fun Days has two more days filled with events that include on Tuesday:

-Kiddie Parade
-Family Fun Night
-Fireman's Waterball Fight
-Music by Soulfulsounder

And on Wednesday:

-Grande Parade
-Music by Paul Christian
