ST. PAUL -- Hundreds of law enforcement officers will be at the State Capitol tonight for the annual Standing of the Memorial Guard.

St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson says he's been a part of the ritual since 1996, although can't take part this year.  It's unclear if any officers from the St. Cloud area are taking part.

The event runs in conjunction with National Law Enforcement Week.

Anderson says officers stand in silence in 20 minute shifts from eight tonight to seven tomorrow evening. The event wraps up with a candlelight vigil.
