Police Investigate Small Town Bank Robbery
HOPE, Minn. (AP) - Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a bank in a tiny town south of Owatonna at gunpoint.
Steele County officials say a man robbed the First National Bank at 8:30 a.m. today (Friday) in Hope, an unincorporated community about 11 miles south of Owatonna.
Authorities say the suspect is a Hispanic man 20 to 30 years old with a heavy build and measuring between 5 feet 5 inches tall and 5 feet 8 inches tall.
The suspect was last seen wearing a blue and green plaid hooded sweatshirt driving a black "Dodge Charger-like vehicle" with dark tinted windows.
Authorities say the man is armed and dangerous, and urge the public to call 911 if they see the suspect or his car.
