The Paramount Center for the Arts believes that art will change people, and they embrace all types of art, from stage performances to community classes, to gallery displays, and to the gift gallery that includes work from 80 local artists.

This is readily apparent as they kick off a new season Sept. 6 with a high-energy fundraising event titled "Mixtape Magic – A Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes, & Tommy Tutone." In the coming months, they'll also offer a family-friendly live animal show, a performance from American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, classes in everything from woodturning to pet portraits, and exhibitions from a variety of artists.

It's all designed to bring world-class artistic expression to Central Minnesota while also encouraging Central Minnesota residents to explore their artistic abilities and inclinations.

Community Engagement

Driven to change lives through art, the Paramount's Community Engagement initiatives cultivate connections to foster individual, institutional and community change. The Paramount believes that intentional engagement 1) acknowledges community assets and systemic barriers, 2) is sustainable, and 3) requires strong partnerships.
