Packers To Face Steelers In Super Bowl 45
The Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 21-14 Sunday in Chicago to win the NFC Championship. Aaron Rodgers and James Starks each ran for touchdowns in the first half and B.J. Raji intercepted a pass and returned it 18 yards for a touchdown in the 2nd half for Green Bay. The Packers are appearing in their 5th Super Bowl and first since 1997.
Pittsburgh defeated the New York Jets 24-19 Sunday night at home to win the AFC Championship. The Steelers led 24-0 late in the first half before the Jets began their comeback. Rashard Mendenhall ran for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns to lift the Steelers to the win. Pittsburgh is making their 3rd Super Bowl appearance in the last 6 years.
