New Ideas On Display At Weekend 'Invention Expo'

MINNEAPOLIS - Everything we use today started as somebody's new idea - an invention. Coming-up this weekend in Minneapolis you can see the latest ideas that just might one day be the next big thing.

The Invention Expo is at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Friday and Saturday.

Director Deb Hess says experts in the invention industry will be there, but they're also looking for feedback from you.

Hess says there's a special catagory for young inventors.

Inventors from all over the country will be there.

A couple of the inventions that will be there are: a compact conceal-carry pistol as small as a credit card, and an extractor that removes deeply embedded nails.

The Invention Expo runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
