FOLEY - Foley Public Schools will have a new superintendent leading the way next school year.

Paul Neubauer will be taking Darrin Strosahl's place as superintendent.

Strosahl served six years in the position and is taking a position at the St. Cloud Technical and Community College as a Dean of Students.

Neubauer is coming from St. Francis Schools where he currently acts as director of curriculum and instruction.

Foley school board chair David Walz says they picked Neubauer because he has comparable responsibilities to a superintendent in his current position.

"A lot of the roles and responsibilities he's currently doing are much like what a superintendent would and he has great communication skills-he has a lot of things to offer to our school system."

Walz says the district will miss Strosahl but is looking forward to next year.

"We're going to miss Darren, he's done a lot of great things for the Foley Public Schools and we wish him the best, but we're looking forward to next year with Paul and expect great things ahead."

Neubauer will officially take over on July 1st.
