NEW HOPE (AP) - Two New Hope nursing home employees have been fired and could face criminal charges resulting from secret video taken by the family of two residents who police say were abused.

Police say the Saint Therese Senior Care Facility employees were arrested on gross misdemeanor charges, and additional workers who were seen in the video could also be charged.

Officials at the facility say the two employees and eight other nursing assistants have been fired. The officials say they're taking steps to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

The family set up a hidden camera after the facility notified police of possible abuse to the two residents.

The case has been referred to the city attorney's office.
