Motorcycle Driver Hurt While Trying to Avoid Collision

ST. CLOUD - Two cars and a motorcycle were involved in a rear end collision yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon in St. Cloud.

Police say the incident happened at about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 23 and 22nd Avenue North.

A vehicle driven by 45-year-old Daniel Murphy of St. Joseph rear ended a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Zachary Ulmer of Big Lake.  Then, a motorcycle driven by 35-year-old Scott Schumacher of Mora tried to avoid the vehicles and crashed.

Schumacher was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Murphy was given a ticket for inattentive driving, Schumacher was cited for a driver's license violation.
