MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A library in north Minneapolis is being closed for repairs after ceiling tiles began falling down.

Reports say Webber Park Library will be closed indefinitely. It's unclear whether it will reopen.

Judith Hollander is the county director of property services. She says the braces that hold up the ceiling tiles have buckled, and one wall has been shifting. She says the cost of repairs will determine whether the county keeps the library open.

Hollander says people knew the library was old and would need some work.

It's possible the county could build a new library. Hennepin County Commissioner Linda Higgins asks that people be patient while officials review all the options.
