MAPLEWOOD (AP) — A man has died after the crane he was operating tipped on its side at a Maplewood construction site.

The accident happened around noon Monday at the St. Paul Hmong Alliance Church.

Police provided medical care to the crane's operator, 34-year-old Cory Lewellin of Ogilvie, as they worked to free him from the cab. Lewellin was taken to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities would not speculate on the cause of the accident. Minnesota OSHA is investigating.
