ST. CLOUD - About 220 students from 20 high schools have been inspired to stand up and get involved.

The annual Social Justice youth conference was held in St. Cloud today (Tuesday).

The keynote speaker was Craig Kielburger.  At the age of 12 he formed the organization Free the Children.  He says getting started is as simple as finding your passion.

St. Cloud Cathedral senior Maddy Pesch has attended the youth conference for four years.  She says she wants more of her classmates to get involved.

She says she and her friends have plans to give back.

The Day of Silence -- to raise awareness about poverty -- is on November 30th.

Some of the students at the conference started a new Facebook page called "Youth for Change" to help spread their message.
