Little Saints Academy in St. Joseph Looking to Relocate

ST. JOSEPH - Little Saints Academy in St. Joseph has found a new location.

The child care center wants to renovate and move to 545 Eighth Avenue Northeast, the former home to Metro Plumbing and Heating. Little Saints Academy has to move out of its current location at Colts Academy, due to the St. Cloud School District moving programs there from the former Roosevelt building.

St. Joseph city administrator Judy Weyrens says the site includes three buildings. Two of the buildings will be expanded and connected and the third building will remain for storage. The combined buildings will include classrooms, a cafeteria and gymnasium.

On Thursday at 6:00 p.m., the St. Joseph City Council will consider re-zoning the location to allow the move. Weyrens says the planning commission has reviewed the plan and will recommend that the project be approved.
