Last month, we brought you the story of the "Let's Make Everybody Count" campaign. It's an initiative sponsored by US Housing and Urban Development, or HUD, and is a one-day count of homeless people and families throughout Minnesota. The numbers are in, and according to the survey findings, Stearns County reports that 108 people were homeless on January 26th. Of those, 50 were unsheltered. Benton County reported 12 homeless and 6 unsheltered, and Sherburne county counted 3 homeless, 2 unsheltered.

Hannah Klimmek is the organizer for "Make Everybody Count." She says she's satisfied with the findings.

The count was performed by volunteers and organizations all throughout the 14 counties surveyed. The numbers will be used to determine future funding for homelessness resources throughout Minnesota.
