ST. CLOUD -- Hundreds of police officers, probation officers and prosecutors had an opportunity to learn about tools and resources they can use in their daily duties at a conference held in St. Cloud this week.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's Information Users Conference brought more than 700 people to the River's Edge Convention Center for the training.

BCA Deputy Superintendent Dana Gotz says many of the sessions were technology-based programs.

Gotz says some of the break-out sessions included information on gun permit background checks, investigative tools and resources and officer-involved shootings.
