ST. PAUL (AP) — Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar doesn't have a declared opponent yet, but she has $2.5 million in the bank.

Klobuchar's campaign released a fundraising report Monday showing that she raised slightly more than $1 million in the first three months of the year. It also showed the campaign bank balance as of the end of March.

Klobuchar is running for a second term next year after winning 58 percent of the vote in 2006. She is a former Hennepin County prosecutor and serves on committees for judiciary, commerce and agriculture and a joint House-Senate panel on the economy. She also heads a subcommittee on innovation and exports.

She raised and spent $9.5 million on her first race against Republican Mark Kennedy.
