Julia C. Hollermann, 95, Long Prairie

May 30, 1920 – November 23, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Long Prairie for Julia C. Hollermann, age 95, of Long Prairie who passed away Monday at CentraCare Health Systems-Long Prairie. The Rev. Omar Guanchez will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Long Prairie. Family and friends may call from 4-8 pm Friday and after 8 am Saturday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home-Stein Chapel in Long Prairie. St. Mary’s Catholic Women will pray the rosary at 4 pm Friday at the funeral home in Long Prairie.

Julia C. Hellermann was born May 30, 1920 in Melrose, Minnesota, the daughter of Herman & Rose (Steinemann) Hellermann. She grew up on a farm near Melrose and attended country school. She married Norbert H. Hollermann on September 4, 1939 at St. Boniface Church in Melrose. They farmed near Albany and Burtrum. They moved to Long Prairie in 1966 and later moved to Prairie View Manor. Mr. Hollerman passed away on November 7, 2004.

Julia was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and participated in the Adoration Chapel for several years. She enjoyed fishing and was known for her baking, especially breads, cookies, and chocolate cake.

Julia is survived by her children, Tony (Bonnie) Hollermann, Albertville; Phil (Mary Jo) Hollermann, Sauk Centre; Carol (Bob) Heath, Aitkin; Jane (Ron) Wilkinson, Haywards Heath, England; and Julie (Curt) Alveshere, Rogers; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Theresa Hetzel and Mary Geisenhof, two grandsons, Ron Hetzel and Jeff Heath, one brother, and four sisters.
