Jane Seymour Unveils Sculpture, Paints with Seniors in St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD - Actress and artist Jane Seymour is spending several days here in St. Cloud. Thursday night she attended the CentraCare Health Foundation's annual Spring Fling fundraiser where a sculpture she created was unveiled.
She says her message to the crowd is the same as the theme she has for her jewelry collection - open your heart.
And then you can open your heart and help somebody else. There's always someone a little bit worse off than you. When you're able to help someone else it feeds your soul.
Friday Seymour painted with some of the residents at St. Benedict's Senior Center.
She has more events in St. Cloud planned through Saturday. Seymour's sculpture will have a permanent home at the CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center.
However, even though she's spending a lot of time on her artwork, that doesn't mean she's done with her acting career. Seymour says she's working on a new movie right now.
Two days ago I was acting with Robert De Niro which in my opinion means the best of the best of the best. I'm playing his potential love interest in a movie called "War With Grandpa".
Seymour says that movie is due out in October.
While she's made dozens of movies, she's probably best known for her leading role in the long running TV series "Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman". She says she'd like to come back to TV, and recently made a pilot called "His Wive's Daughters" which was going to be on CMT. However, CMT cut all scripted programming, so now they're looking for a different network to pick up that show.
